My Story
Dawn has proudly called the Kansas City area home for over 30 years, where she lives with her husband, David, and their two children. She brings more than 25 years of experience as an Office Manager in the product distribution industry, working closely with vendors, suppliers, shippers, customers, and sales teams.
In January 2023, Dawn became the second-generation owner of Shades of Cool, LLC, continuing the legacy established by her father, who founded the company in 2004. Under his leadership, the business earned a strong reputation for selling and installing SunSetter awnings, shades and screens throughout the Kansas City metro and surrounding areas.
Today, Dawn is committed to building on that foundation by delivering the same trusted service, professionalism, and high-quality products customers have come to expect. She is passionate about creating a seamless, positive experience for every customer and remains dedicated to putting their needs first.
